ProWrite 2025.9.0.6532 RELEASE NOTES

 

In the 2025.9.0.6532 release of ProWrite, the features listed below are available for customers:
  • Under Help on the main toolbar, the following updates have been made:

    • Users can now see if they are using the latest version of the software by clicking Check For Updates. (PWN-9255)

    • Users can now find links to CEI’s On-Demand Training, Release Notes, and Newsletters. (PWN-9392)

  • Under the Tools > Settings > PQR/WPS tab, the following updates have been made:

    • The Display WPS number on printed PQR option is now available, which allows users to choose if the WPS number is shown on PQRs. (PWN-9425)

    • A new text field has been added that allows users to set the note displayed on Groove and Fillet weld WPS lines. The system provides default text, but users can edit it as needed. (PWN-9449)

    • The Qualify welding operators to “All Diameters” of pipe option is now available that lets users specify whether welding operators are restricted to certain pipe diameters or qualified for all diameters. (PWN-9567)

  • In ProWrite D1, a new Stud weld type option is now available when creating a PQR, WPS qualified by PQR, Prequalified WPS, and WPQ. (PWN-9133, PWN-9732, PWN-9740, PWN-9748)

  • The following updates are now available in ProWrite S9 to reflect the 2025 ASME Section IX code:

    • A 2025 code year option is now available in all documents. (PWN-9851)

    • 2023 base and filler materials are now available in the Base Metal database.(PWN-9466)

    • A new pop-up message alerts users to the supplementary essential variable requirement for heat input when bead/weave width exceeds 1 inch. The message refers to the essential variable addressed by QW-410.92. (PWN-9482)
    • P-no. 49 was removed; P-nos. 54 and 81 were added. These changes affect qualified ranges and the essential/nonessential variable requirements. (PWN-9506)

    • The updated qualified ranges for Brazers and Brazing Operators have been implemented for BPQs (PWN-9835)

    • The thickness range qualified for corrosion resistant overlay and hard face overlay operators has been updated to all thickness on a WPQ. (PWN-9842)

    • The 2024 ASME B31.3 and 2025 Section IX Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) Hold Times Notes have been updated to account for the changes to the B31.3 code. (PWN-9872)

    • The diameters for a tube-to-tubesheet WPQ have been updated to reflect the new essential variable requirements. PWN-9914)

  • The following updates are now available in ProWrite D1 to reflect the 2025 AWS D1.1 code:

    • A pulsed spray option is now available when creating PQR, WPS qualified by PQR, and WPQ for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes. This option is also reflected in the Welder-to-WPS analysis. (PWN-9802, PWN-9809, PWN-9816, PWN-9859)

    • The paragraph reference in the pop-up message for travel speed on the Weld Details tab of the WPS has been updated. (PWN-9887)

    • The paragraphs and tables referenced in fillet notes have been updated. (PWN-9895)

    • The paragraph referenced in the pop-up message for shielding gases has been updated. (PWN-9972)
